Strike Witches

My first Strike Witches figure & I chose Mio. Her mechanical legs seem to be made of hard plastic & then pressed onto a stainless steel square bar attached to the base. Hopefully this keeps her from ever falling over. Also just in time for what was suppose to be the blu-ray release of Strike Witches 2 from Funimation but which is now pushed back likely because the Japanese release is coming soon too. The Japanese version is over $400 vs around $40 for the US version so they're probably worried about reverse importation.

Nicely packaged "B gata H kei" Blu-ray/DVD combo set from Funimation. The mousepad is an extra from Rightstuf. Never previewed the show when it aired so a bit of a blind buy but glad I got it. It's a fun quirky show with a very catchy op/ed.
Recently switched phones to an unlocked HTC Incredible S. It's got a amusing(to a Japanese) way of saying that I'm on 4g.
Here's a bit of another tie-in to the release of B gata H kei. I find it hard to believe that 1/3 of the young men there aren't interested in sex. More likely they're waiting for Chobits. Oh & nice how they get the anime tie-in to the story. Asuza ftw!

Ah the memories...
Miku, Rin, Luka, & Ren live in concert last year at Anime Expo. Doesn't look like it will get a less expensive domestic US release so just bit the bullet & imported the blu-ray from Amazon Japan. Still came with 1st print postcards. Behind the disc is a foam seat cushion that they gave away after the concert.

Had this on DVD for the longest time, but never watched beyond episode 18. Double dipped on the Blu-ray of season 1 to get back into the show & now am almost through the 2nd season on DVD. This is another emotional wrenching Visual Arts/Key series.

Rina with an Colt M4A1 & Alna dual wielding Glock G17's.
The M4($20) is a plastic model kit by Trumpeter & the G17's($13/each) were finished assembled models from Dragon Models. Both are 1/3 scale making them a perfect fit for Dollfie Dreams. Unfortunately the 1/3 scale plastic arms selection is limited though there are more if you get into metal diecast ones but then they aren't very ideal for these dolls due to weight.
Alna's New Dress

My Alna finally gets an a new outfit. Released recently by Volks the gothic lolita style dress is called "Intrigue Rose Dress" & she costs almost $150 with shipping! I really wanted a new outfit for Alna though since Rina there already has two extra. For the price it is nicely made with velvet type burgandy fabric & extra little details such as the metal rose on her choker. The shoes don't match since they are from Rina's idol outfit, but I didn't want to spend money for a more matching pair yet. I'm a fan of the gothic lolita look & Alna does it quite well.

Holo & Economics

I love Holo so I'm grateful to Funimation for releasing season 2 on bluray & with a nice artbox no less. Rightstuf sweetened the deal by offering the perfect extra a collectible coin just as they did for the 1st season.
Uncensored new hentai is rare these days. Here is one that recently came out titled "Like A Mom" which is known as "Mamapuri" in Japanese. Scenes are soso & the uncensored video is very soft, but I like the char designs. And it's ok because they are not blood-related. ;P
Another Tony Taka based figure to my collection. This time Blanc Neige in a Bikini. Always a pleasure to see his pretty designs on the boxes.

Oily Figures

A small portion of my collection that I've discovered to have developed an oily sticky film on the surface. It seems the substance may be the plasticizer chemical used in making these PVC figures leeching out. Searches don't yield much info on this problem, but it is mentioned that heat is a big contributor. But then the majority of my collection which has been around about the same time as these seem ok so far so that isn't entirely the issue. I believe it's just a bad mixture of plastic at whatever Chinese factory these were produced at. They can be cleaned but it is a major pain with all the little bits & crevices and the film eventually surfaces again. You also risk rubbing paint off. Very disappointing consider the cost of these things.

Been lazy, but still into this hobby to a lesser degree. Here are some figure additions to my collection since last October.
I really hope they do another Vocaloid concert in the US & hopefully a 2 hour one this time. Still enjoyed what they did bring to AX.

Still around... So the guest list was the big draw for me last at AX & when they announced Miku in concert I had to come again. Was seriously considering going to the 3/9 concert in Tokyo, but that didn't work out so this was great timing.
